  • Picked up last week's ASM:RYV #2. Pretty good series so far. I want to find out more about Regent. And it's cool that PP's daughter has super-powers.

Also picked up Armor Wars #3. I really enjoyed this one when it started but I thought this issue was a big let down. On the plus side, the impending battle between Roadie and Fisk has some potential.

  • For new comics I grabbed Doctor Fate #2. I know almost nothing about the character so I decided to start reading this series. I like it so far but action needs to pick up a bit for me to continue to buy it.

Then I kind of went on a speculation/back issue binge today.
We Stand On Guard #1 x5
    Walking Dead #144 x10
    Postal #1 x4
    Think Tank #1
    Gargoyles #6
    The Gun #1 x3
    Justice League #42
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - Preview
    Blue Devil (1984) #1
    Ant-Man #1 & #2
Thanos vs Hulk #1 1:25 Variant
    Uncanny X-Men #281 x2
    Amazing Spider-Man #252 & #301 - Both Toy Inserts
    Amazing Spider-Man (2015) #1 - Has Inhuman #1 Preview in it
    Self Obsessed #1
    Justice League (1987) #1
    The Titans (1999) #1A & #1B
    Wonder Woman #123-135, #139 & #150.

Michael May was also signing at one of the shops I stopped by today. He had copies of the Kill All Monsters graphic novel that he wrote and copies of Dark Horse Presents #12 which has a prequel to Kill All Monsters that is going to be a 3 part story in DHP. He signed both items for free which was cool.

  • I'm a bit behind on my reading, so I only picked up Justice League of America #1 [latest series] yesterday. Being a fan of the series, I wasn't disappointed and would definitely recommend this.

Labria, do you think "We Stand on Guard" could take off? I was initially interested when I read the synopsis and saw the cover, but the interior art put me off.

  • I think the story is good enough but I think the print run might be too high. I know there a lot of Brian K. Vaughn fans, so who knows. I had my shop order a couple for me just in case. Kaptara #3 has a preview of it in the back so that might be a better bet to have if it does gain some ground.

  • We Stand on Guard is just a six issue series so it probably won't be something to speculate over.
