- I think that even if I start collecting variants, it will only be variants I really like. (Example, I want all of the Venom Variants from earlier this year, I think they all look awesome)
Thankfully, I will be saving money on sketch variants. I never really like them, and I'm amazed that they always go for so much more money. So that there is some money it seems I will never have to spend, cause Im just not a fan.

- Oh I can sell off what I have and then I will be depressed enough to stop. I am so very close to closing the gap on my ASM series which I am sure that I will be able to eventually. About the variants well my main thing is I want to own it before it comes out meaning there is nothing worse than having a variant come out say 1:100 and not have it pre ordered and then have to pay the high prices. I despise that. The last one I was left out in the cold on was the 667 1:100 since then I have had them all wrapped up.
Addiction perhaps but I think it is more of a compulsive disorder

- So how do you preorder those? Do you just go on ebay and buy one or do you use your shop?
My best option for variants is a blind auction but the drawback to that is you don't know how much you have to put down. If I say "50 is my max' and it goes for 51 ... that sucks. I missed the 1:50 #688, I put a $51 bid on it. Guess that wasn't good enough.

- Depends anything under 1:50 I get from the LCS. Anything 1:50 or more I preorder through DCBS. I find out what the ratios are from the LCS ASAP and then wait to order them (1:50 or higher) online cause the LCS finds out before the site is updated.
*In the event that the LCS cannot give me what I want they tell me the day I call in for the retailer ratios so I automatically know to hunt it down for preorder. That has not happened to me yet but if it did I know how to handle it. I will never pay the higher price again unless it is a con variant or a DF something exclusive like the 666 stuff. As you know those exclusives are usually far and few between so those are not too much of an issue.

- I have been able to purchase all of the variants in the past 5 years for less than $40 each. Sometimes it takes a month or two to get them. It just takes a little patience.

Oh okay, that's a pretty good idea. Turns out it will be hit and miss for me. For example, one variant you can order on there is $15.00. I got it for $9.99. BUT, there are times I don't get it. So I guess I can just max out the bid amount to make sure but .... i'd hate to get surprised with a monster price.

- I have a pretty good system and it works great for me so far. The real test will be when 700 comes out as I am sure there will be tons of variants. I am cringing thinking about it.
