I just have to say I love Half Price books! You never no what you'll find.
At lunch today I picked up a few books - none an especially big deal - but when you're looking at all the many back issues you might need - it doesn't hurt to pay no more than $0.75-1.50 each (and all in near flawless condition).
Wolverine Origins: #1b and 8 ASM: #491, 500a, 501, 502, 555, Annual 22 Spiderman: #6
OH - my last visit (a few weeks ago) I found these for about $7:
Tarzan (DC 1972-77): 209 (VF), 226 (NM) Tarzan (Marvel 1977-79): 21 (NM), 22 (NM) Plastic Man (DC 1966-77): 11 (VF+)

Looks great. I would love to have a shop like that near by. All the backissues where I live are AT LEAST 2 dollars, but not much below 3

The comic shop I go to, Cloud City Comics and Toys in Dewitt, NY, has semi-annual sales in which back issues drop down to a buck or less! It frickin' rocks! And that's where I get all my signed comics too! Last week, I got Amazing Spider-man #57 signed by John Romita, I was so friggin' stoked to see that!
