Jones will reportedly play Danny Rand in both Netflix's Iron Fist and the subsequent Defenders. In comic books, Rand is best friends with Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter in Cage's titular series, and is a master of Kung-Fu with the power to use his "chi" as a weapon. Iron Fist, Cage, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil are said to comprise the core of the Defenders series. Iron Fist does not have a premiere date, but its sister series Daredevil enters its second season on March 18, while Luke Cage will premiere in late 2016.
