Ross's daughter, Betty, grows to love Bruce no matter what but still, her father isn't interested with her flirting with a scientist whom he has a dislike for. As Dr. Banner is transformed into the Hulk, after saving Rick Jones from the explosion of the gamma bomb test, General Ross spent many years trying to capture the Green Goliath, despite commiting treason allying himself with the Hulk's enemies, The Leader, MODOK, and Emil Blonsky AKA the Abomination.
