At the end of last year, Bleeding Cool told you that DC Comics and DC Entertainment would be getting a new logo.
The relatively recent DC Spin/DC Swoosh designed by Josh Beatman of Brainchild Studio from 2005, which itself replaced the DC Bullet designed by Milton Glazer from 1976.
Well, this symbol has now been submitted for trademark protection. It is meant to be the letter D flipping back to show the letter C. It looks like it may just be a new logo for DC Comics. There's no colour, because no colour is being applied for trademark. So it could be any and every colour.

Personally I like the retro look, and that would be for all companies logos, titles covers and the such. But that could be because I'm old.
The "D" represents the 75-year history of the company; peeling the "D" back a little & seeing a modern-like "C" font represents new ideas & changes (MAYBE)...in short; old company outside, new ideas inside. Just my two pennies...
i also wouldn't mind if one of these companies gave artists the freedom to mess around with the logo the same way with how they mess around with some comic titles on their covers (if there is a legal problem with that then make a second logo that is really small on one of the corners lol
